Important CPD activity for physiotherapists:
Outcome Measure workshops February to April 2010
The use of outcome measures is regarded as best practice in physiotherapy and their use is increasingly being demanded by funders of physiotherapy services. It is therefore vital that physiotherapists have the skills and knowledge to use outcome measures effectively to support and guide clinical decision making.
The NZSP is organizing a series of workshops on the use of outcome measures throughout the country. The workshops will be run by lecturers from the physiotherapy schools at AUT University and Otago University.
The workshops will provide an overview of outcome measurement, their role in physiotherapy practice and the range of measures available. The specific outcome measures discussed in the case studies will relate to physiotherapists treating musculoskeletal injuries, but the workshop material is relevant to physiotherapists in all areas of practice.
The workshops will be 3.5 hours long.
