The New Zealand Society of Physiotherapists is the unified professional body which represents physiotherapists and promotes physiotherapy to key stakeholders in New Zealand society.

The Government and health sector organisations recognise and work with NZSP as the official body representing physiotherapists in New Zealand. The NZSP National Executive and Executive Director are constantly involved with issues concerning the future of the physiotherapy profession.

Access to continuing education
In today's ever-changing health environment it is essential health professionals keep abreast of new developments and practices in their field. Demonstrating ongoing competence through professional development is a requirement for obtaining an Annual Practising Certificate. Membership of NZSP provides access to membership of Special Interest Groups which run additional training and education services.
The New Zealand College of Physiotherapy welcomes all members of the New Zealand Society of Physiotherapists who wish to develop and demonstrate their commitment to high standards of education and practice. The College is recognised by key stakeholders as the preferred pathway for demonstrating continuing physiotherapy competency.
